weddings have been a large part of my life lately. not mine, of course. i'm still waiting on Mr. Close Enough and my very own calphalon collection. but i'm not waiting too long - i've started to slowly acquire the finer things in life on my own (i.e. knives that can cut through more than a rotten strawberry). but i digress...

these invitations have been arriving with greater frequency than utility bills. in order to deal with the mass quantities, i've developed a sort of processing system by which the invitations are queued and wait their turn to be placed on the fridge. after all, refrigerator realty and magnet availability are in high-demand this season. i daresay one of my favorite parts about attending one of these events is coming home and removing the old invitation from the fridge so that the next invite can proudly be displayed in its place. The following list may not elicit true appreciation from you, the reader, but maybe it will give you an idea of what my life/fridge has looked like for the past 3-ish months:

weddings invited to: 8
weddings attended: 6
rehearsal dinners: 2
bridesmaid dress: 1
showers invited to: 4
showers attended: 4
out of state weddings attended: 1
total wedding budget: $butt.load
times happy to participate in special days: 8
times wish to receive another invitation anytime soon: 0
