somebody out there is one step ahead of me in regard to the ceiling clock. check out the ceiling projector clock from hammacher schlemmer. certainly a bargain at only $59.95. i'd have to get my hands on one to determine if it meets the specifications of the clock i was envisioning, but i'm guessing this comes pretty darn close...
