i went to Boo at the Zoo last nite. it was a spur-of-the-moment invite and i thought it sounded like a fun thing to do with friends on a tuesday. i don't know exactly what i had pictured in my mind, but it was definitely not the legions of masked, hooded, and/or caped children that swarmed the grounds. a lot of them were actually pretty cute and i was tempted to capture some of them on film, however i was a little scared that my intentions might be misinterpreted by their watchful parents. but let me tell you, just because a kid looks all sweet and cuddly in a bear costume doesn't mean she won't mow you down in the candy line. normally i wouldn't consider getting ugly when kids are involved, but you gotta fight for your right when peanut m&m's are at stake.
