i have been promoted...to a bigger cube. these are truly exciting times. our office moved to a different location on the 3rd floor yesterday in order to place us in closer proximity to our new team members. for some reason, i was deemed special and was awarded residency in a big cube. only drawback is that the position of the cube and the desk renders my monitor visible to the casual passerby. obviously i will have to blog more discretely. for instance, i'm currently blogging away in notepad. in the past i've even gotten fancy enough to throw code above and below the blog to visually enhance my efforts. then, in a series of quick clicks, i will log onto blogger and post my goods. never, ever do i risk actually going to thebiscuit.net to check the results - that would be sheer Tom-Foolery given the fact that my large mug staring out from the screen would definitely alert passersby that my browsing was not work related. i'm gonna have to do something about that. there's a fellow named winston that's mastered the art of visual deception for the casual onlooker. you can browse his site at work and not be afraid, unless you happen to work at some anti-Microsoft outfit.
