my firefighter friend called me today. he was stuck in an elevator at the time. this struck me as funny since firefighters are the ones that are supposed to get the rest of us out of stuck elevators.

on a similar note (well, not really), does it matter if paramedics are wearing clean underwear? i mean, my mother always taught me to keep clean skivvies on "just in case..." i'm thinking that if i found myself in an accident serious enough to warrant the removal of my clothes by medical personnel, i wouldn't give a flying fart about whether i was wearing my Tuesday Panties. but i digress. if one of the many benefits of clean skivs is to avoid embarrassment with the paramedics, then paramedics should be free to wear whatever kinda long johns they please, right? i mean, who do they have to impress? unless they themselves are caught in a tragic incident and have to call the firefighters...
