yippee skippee - it's snowing outside! i'm not holding out hopes that any of it will actually stick and thereby render tomorrow's commute impossible, but i'm stil enjoying the scenario as much as possible. for the first morning in weeks, i had time to drink all 3 cups of freshly brewed coffee while loitering over the sunday paper. since then, i have polished off two books while laying under heavy cover of flannel and cat fur (i have a bad habit of reading multiple books simultaneously - both of these books were already nearing the end and just needed an hour or two each to finish). i got up long enough to make myself a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup, peppered with cheddar goldfish. then i got back under the covers to finish my reading. presently, i am considering a shower, more for the sake of warmth than cleanliness. after that i may turn on a football game, not because i particularly care about the outcome, but because the playoffs make nice background noise for a nap.

today's a fabulous day.
