corporate cutbacks are increasingly evident. every night someone comes by and empties my trash can. in the golden days, the entire trash bag would be removed and a fresh replacement would be sent in. but these days, the contents of my trash can are merely consolidated with the contents of some bigger trash can. i can't complain - my trash is not so important that it requires a clean bag. the problem, however, is that i chain chew gum; and gum doesn't consolidate nicely into the bigger trash can. within a week my trash can starts to look like the inner wall of a cave at Six Flags. i sure wish the economy would pick up and people would start buying our stuff. i think the Trickle Down Effect would ensure an eventual return to the clean daily trash bag.
