whenever one of the girls i work with wants to talk to me, she'll either call or drop by my cube and ask, "are you busy?"

this question annoys me. i'm at work, so of course i'm busy. but am i too busy to chat for a few minutes? no, i'm not that busy.

so, how do i answer? to say i'm busy is like saying, "buzz off, fart face." but to say i'm not busy is the equivalent of saying, "i was just sitting here staring aimlessly at my cuticles and wasting company time."

i think it's a trick question.
