Mission #10: It's all Greek To Me.
Today we have fun creating conversational havoc using simple little words and phrases. Simply choose items from each of the following lists and insert them into your conversations and emails throughout the day. Remember to document your conversational usage and your responses when you post your entry.
You must use at least 3 words and 2 phrases today in order to qualify for the next round.
A. WORDS: (Minimum: 3 words.)
1. TARADIDDLE - a fib; pretentious nonsense
2. JOBBERNOWL - A stupid person, a blockhead.
3. BLATHERSKITE - A noisy talker of blatant rubbish; foolish talk or nonsense
4. FLIBBERTIGIBBET - A frivolous, flighty, or excessively talkative person.
5. RODOMONTADE - Boastful or inflated talk or behaviour.
B. PHRASES: (Minimum: 2 phrases.)
1. The solution can only be deconstructed third-generation time-phases.
2. The consultants recommend quality administrative concepts.
3. Our upgraded model now offers 'Outside the box' relative concepts.
4. You really can't fail with 'Outside the box' incremental contingencies.
5. At base level, this just comes down to balanced management mobility.
Bonus Points: Repetitive use of your words/phrases to the point that people ask: "Why do you keep saying that?" (You know your appropriate responses…)
SUPER Bonus points: Call an old "Greek" school chum and insert the words/phrases into your phone conversation. (Remember, no explanations allowed.)
