the matrix sequel was a huge disappointment. it held nothing of the mystique of the original and the dialogue was cheesily reminiscent of all other keanu reeves movies. for example: at one point in the movie (i won't describe the scene as i hate to totally ruin it for you), neo embraces trinity and says,"because i love you too damn much." are you kidding me?? the sad thing is, there was actually a great story line buried somewhere in there, but between the uncharacteristically poor fight scenes, animations, kisses, and bad dialogue, the good parts were lost. i'll just have to look up the script online and re-read the parts of the movie that were good. the bottom line? lower your expectations and maybe you won't be so disappointed.

after the movie we went to gray's papaya for some of new york's finest franks and a refreshing papaya beverage. the papaya drink is rumored to have certain digestive qualities and i was excited to test it out for myself. it did not disappoint. i only had to let about 45 minutes pass and then so did i.
