i went to the john mayer / counting crows show last nite. it was my first time to see counting crows. to my great joy they played a lot of their older stuff, including a verra nice rendition of round here. i had seen john mayer once before. that boy still knows how to play a crowd. and he still be sexy.

with the exception of a few AARP folks, i was the oldest person person at the show. ok, maybe not the oldest, but i definitely brought up the median age by several years. before the show started, aimee and i played the "count the midriffs that pass in front of our seat" game. there were so many interesting sights that we had to expand the game to include other things as well. in about 10 minutes we counted the following:

106 midriffs
9 boobs
4 rears
2 cracks
1 terry cloth jumpsuit
1 pair stretch marks (belonging to a midriff)
1 doily on a string (posing as a shirt)
