you'd be surprised how much traction rubber floor mats can provide. they were temporarily moved for cleaning and, in their absence, i went down for the count (cuidado, piso mojado!). i wiped out in front of customers. yes, in front of many customers. i quickly recovered, added a brief tap dance and announced that i'd "be here all week." they all smiled, but mostly i think they just felt sorry for me. i felt sorry for me, too. i think i pulled a butt muscle.
