i listened to christmas music in an attempt to drum up some christmas spirit. it didn't work. i even went to the mall and stood in a long line to buy a tie (i hope my dad's not reading this). the only other people in the mall on thursday mornings are geriatrics. standing in line with them didn't do much for yuletide mood either.

fortunately, i was able to accomplish a good deal of christmas shopping. unfortunately, i discovered that it's still too warm outside to leave chocolate products in the car for an extended period. oddly that's part of the charm of life in the Republic. anyhow, if you recieve chocolate covered espresso beans from me this christmas, i apologize in advance for their funny shape.
