greetings from rico, colorado. we were supposed to arrive last nite, but were stranded in durango due to an avalanche that blocked the road. it ended up being a nice detour, however. we stayed at the strater hotel (i didn't hear any ghosts) and ate bistro 701; you'll be glad to note that i didn't commit any major bistro faux pas this time.

presently, i'm enjoying the snow and -6 temperature from the cushy chair by the fireplace. i've got an internet connection and a stack of books at my disposal. how delightful!
