meet pepper

Pepper is a dog. Pepper is also a cyclops. This makes him a little difficult to look at and probably makes his looking a little difficult, too.



My friends Leigh and Shannan recently opened up their home to provide sanctuary for this unfortunate-looking fellow. Like most parents, however, they are blinded by love and hardly even notice his condition. (Of course, Pepper hardly even notices them unless they happen to be standing directly in front of him. I'm not pointing this out to be mean; It's just a fact: Pepper has poor periphery vision. I discovered this first-hand when I met him and attempted to play "toss.")

At any rate, other than the singular, slightly-centered eye, Pepper is a normal pup. I am wondering though whether Leigh and Shannan will include him on their family Christmas portrait this year...
