yard of the month

Last month Phil, the neighbor on my right, was awarded "Yard of the Month." I thought that was nice; He works hard to keep his lawn looking good and it shows.

This month Dan, the neighbor on my left, got the honors. No offense, but I think his beds are a little cluttered and his grass looks like weird crop cicles (Phil usually cuts on the diagonal which is a nice effect).

What does this say about my yard? It says my yard has gone two weeks without a trim or mow and my beds are so hideous not even a cat would use them. Despite the nice crepe mertel off too the side, my yard is so bad that it has elevated the appearance of both my neighbors yards.

Ugh.
