oh, humbug

I can't seem to get in the Christmas spirit this year. Maybe it's because Christmas has already been going on at work for a month. Or maybe it's because the forecast is 79 and sunny (On a side note, my yard needs to be mowed again, but I refuse to mow in December).

Anyhow, Dave and I agreed over Thanksgiving that we would forgo the house and yard decorations this year. I'm okay with this plan, however my Yard of the Month neighbors (on both sides of us) put up lights on par with the Griswolds. Our house looks dark, lonely, and utterly scrooged.

This morning I had the bright idea of placing a Menorah in our front window. We get out of decorating and the neighbors give us a pass. Win, win.
