I relish Driver Safety courses with the same degree of enthusiasm as my yearly Well Woman visit, which is to say not very much. The woman pictured here* is presently demonstrating Aggressive Behavior. Only fifteen minutes-worth of course ago I caught her taking a Micro-Nap at the wheel. Neither one is considered safe and should be avoided at all costs, as should be Narcotics.
I am learning some helpful tips about driving. For example: I do not need to be competitive on the road because driving is not a contest. Phew!
Also, it's important to Manage My Passengers because "Passengers are serious distractions. Keep passengers and conversation to a minimum...Do not look at your passengers when you are talking with them. You are not the entertainment." I have been trying to tell people this for years.
The bright side is I get an insurance discount as a reward and I don't have to think about this class for another two years (barring me getting pulled over for Aggressive Behavior, Micro-Napping, Narcotics, or any other moving violation).

Good to know. I've taken some notes so I won't forget.
As a recent graduate of this very same course, the part that stood out to me, was in section 2 or 3 which stated "Elderly and handicapped people often take longer in the crosswalk than others. Do not honk or rev your engine at them."
That's good advice right there.
